Day Two and Three
On day 2 of the
Japan International
meet, Brennan and
Felicia each
qualified for 2nd
swims. Brennan swam
a 4:22.7 in the 400m
IM to place 2nd in
the B final, and
Felicia swam a
2:12.2 in the 200m
Fly to place 5th in
the B final.
Felicia morning swim
that qualified her
for the B finals was
a lifetime best:
2:11.9.
On
day 3, Felicia continued to roll with another
personal best in the 100m Fly. Her time of 59.4
qualified her for 8th place, but in accordance with
meet rules, which state that only 2 representatives
from each federation may swim in the "A" final, Flee
will compete this evening in the "B" final.
Flee came into the meet as the 6th fastest 100 flyer
for Team USA, improving to 3rd this morning. Only
the top 3 swimmers from each federation move to the
A and B finals.
Brennan swam 2 events on Day 3 finishing both with
lifetime bests. He swam his 200m back in 2:04.4 and
his 1500m free in 15:37. Brennan's mile placed him
3rd in the morning session with the A final
remaining this evening. His time moved him to
the #1 ranking for 15-16 year-olds in the USA this
year.
So far Brennan and Flee have both achieved 6
lifetime bests out of 7 events. "Brennan and Felicia
have performed extremely well in their first
International competition" Coach Paul Yetter
says. "To score lifetime bests and compete with
determination to win is always our goal, and at this
meet we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome."

Day One in Japan
Brennan Morris and Felicia Lee are competing in the Japan International Meet this week-- an international meet featuring 39 swimming federations from around the world. Brennan (16) and Flee (15) are the youngest members of the USA federation, which boasts its largest National Team (58) ever.
Both swimmers qualified at Nationals last month by posting times that were
faster than the pre-determined time standards. Brennan qualified in the 400
IM and Felicia qualified in the 100 fly. Both swimmers are scheduled to
swim other events at this meet as well.
This morning started off NBAC's portion of the meet very well. "Both Brennan and Flee swam great!" Coach Paul Yetter says.
Brennan dropped 1.8 seconds off his personal best in the 200 fly to go 2:04.3, and Felicia dropped 1.8 seconds as well going 1:15.5 in the
100 breast.
"They are both very excited to have swum best times in their first events of
their first National Team competition -- in events that are not their most
dominant events" Coach Yetter says.
Tomorrow Brennan swims the 400 IM and Felicia swims the 200 Fly.
