NBAC takes 22 Top 8 finishes at the Southern California Grand Prix in Long Beach, California this past weekend with their squad of seven swimmers - Ben Hesen, Felicia Lee, Ellis Miller, Patrick Murphy, Todd Patrick, Elizabeth Pelton and Michael Phelps.

The NORTH BALTIMORE AQUATIC CLUB wins the Larsen Allen Invite with a score of 7,336.5 points. Mecklenburg Aquatic Club placed second with 6,243 points and Spartaquatics Swim Club placed 3rd with 4608 points.

Records may be harder to break with a return to textile. Bob Bowman, coach of Olympian Michael Phelps, thinks there should be a distinction between the suits in the record book.

NBAC 11-12 Boys Relay Breaks Record Again!

There were some 1,500 people jammed into every corner of LeJeune Hall at the U.S. Naval Academy at just past 6:30 p.m. Friday, most standing, and many pointing cameras or video recorders toward the very center of a pool deck crowded with a bunch of girls no older than 10, and a tall guy in a white swim cap and gray sweat jacket with dark headphones.

What's the fastest way to move through the water? Under the surface of course. Away from those pesky waves, a meter deep, where you can cut through that clean still water like a great white shark overcome with blood lust. It takes a special breed of human to take advantage of the depths (super-sized lungs and impossible flexibility tend to help...), yet these days, the so-called "5th Stroke" tends to be under-appreciated.

Keenan Robinson is not a household name in the swimming community, but his work has gotten your attention – he is Michael Phelps’ trainer....

“With honorees from the USA, Australia, Germany, Russia, Hungary, the Philippines and Romania, the Class of 2010 is as impressive and as internationally diverse as any in the history of ISHOF,” said Bob Duenkel, ISHOF’s staff liaison to the selection committee consisting of over 150 international aquatic experts.

The Scholastic All-America program is open to all 10th-12th grade USA Swimming members who earn a 3.5 GPA or better and achieve a Junior National Bonus Time Standard or swim in a selected disability championship meet or the Open Water National Championships.
