Frequently Asked Questions
How long has this Camp
been held.?
2008 is the second year of the NBAC swim
camp, the first year with an overnight
option.
What is the capacity of
the camp?
We have set a limit of 30 campers for
2008. Our idea is to start small, 12-15 the
first year, 25-30 this year, to be sure that
we are giving each and every camper the best
opportunity to learn from the NBAC coaches
and swimmers.
How much time will we
have with Katie Hoff?
Katie will be available early in the
week of the Camp because she has to leave
for Olympic Trials at the end of the week.
We expect that she will join us for a pool
session as well as a “meet and greet”
autograph and picture time. That’s the plan
for now, of course it is subject to change,
but Katie will be a part of our camp this
year along with her coach, Paul Yetter.
What if something happens and I can not
make the camp?
We will refund all but the $150.00
deposit which is non-refundable if we have
received notice from you by June 1. After
June 1, 2008, no refunds will be given
unless proof is given of a documented
medical condition which precluded
participation in the camp.
Does my child have to
have competitive swimming experience?
We highly recommend that camp
participants have competitive swimming
experience. This is a camp for competitive
swimmers and should not be considered a
“learn to swim” program for non swimmers.
How do I register for the
camp?
On line, log onto the NBAC website,
www.nbac.net and click on the Swim Camp
advertisement. Once that brings up the camp
page, click on APPLICATION, print it out and
complete, mail with check or credit card
information or fax with credit card
information. Mail to NBAC Swim Camp, P.O.
Box 20801, Baltimore, MD 21209, Fax to
410-433-0953.
Who makes up the staff of
the NBAC Swim Camp?
All of the coaches on NBAC’s staff take
part in the camp as well as swimmers from
the senior levels of NBAC. Additionally,
experts on nutrition, injury prevention and
management, dryland fitness, and past NBAC
Olympians are scheduled to take part in the
camp.
Where is the camp held?
The camp is held at the Meadowbrook
Aquatic & Fitness center in Baltimore. For
