Scott has coached with North Baltimore at all levels, from stroke clinic to international. Scott is an ASCA level 5 coach and is a multi time recipient of the ASCA certificate of coaching excellence. Scott's swimmers have achieved many accolades, from national number 1 rankings, countless top 10 rankings, and placing swimmers on national teams. Scott has twice been named to the USA Swimming National Youth Team coaching staff, including the World Youth Championship team in 2008. Scott also represented USA Swimming at the 2008 Olympic Coaches conference and has coached the National and Zone Select camps.

Prior to North Baltimore Scott was the sprint coach at Johns Hopkins University where he graduated in 2003. As a swimmer Scott was an 18 time all american and former national record holder in the mile leading the Blue Jays to consecutive second place national finishes.
