Jamie Barone will take over coaching duties for the Challenge 1 level and will assist with the High Performance groups. Jamie swam for Loyola College where he was team captain and set both MAAC conference and School records in the breaststroke events. Barone swam for NBAC starting in 2001 and in 2002 was named the Rookie of the Meet at the USA National Championships. He was a world ranked breaststroke swimmer who capped his career with a National Championship in the 400 Medley Relay at the 2006 Summer Nationals. Most recently Barone has coached the Greenwich High School Girls Junior Varsity Team and was Assistant coach of the Greenwich Boys Varsity State Championship Team. For the past several years, Jamie has operated a comprehensive stroke technique school in Connecticut and will continue to manage that business in additional to his duties at NBAC. In the Summer of 2009 Barone assisted Coach Bowman at altitude training in Colorado Springs and at the World Championship Trials.
