Olympic
Champions Put Fitness
Center on Map
08/18/04
Meadowbrook Aquatic
and Fitness Center, home
to North Baltimore
Aquatic Club where
Michael Phelps, Katie
Hoff and other Olympic
swimmers train, is
squarely in the
limelight
Many health clubs are
proud of their celebrity
members and gain great
publicity when they
attract them. 24 Hour
Fitness, Bally, and
Crunch have done
admirable jobs in
self-promotion on
coattails of famous
people. But this week
the limelight goes to a
little known fitness
center in Baltimore, the
Meadowbrook Aquatic and
Fitness Center which is
home to the "North
Baltimore Aquatic
Club" where Olympic
swimming sensation,
Michael Phelps trains.

NBAC's
home base a simply
appealing place to pool
talent
8/11/04
Considering
all the hoopla
surrounding hometown
hero Michael Phelps'
quest to win a bunch of
gold medals at the
Summer Olympic Games in
Athens next week, some
may think his North
Baltimore Aquatic Club's
home base is a palace.
And,
in some ways, it is _
particularly if you're a
serious swimmer.
