Paul Yetter -
Baltimore Lead Coach

Paul
is in his fourth year with
North Baltimore, and his
third as Harford County's
lead coach. Paul's
swimmers have achieved 22
National Age Group
records, 30 State records,
Olympic Trial Qualifying
times, and 6 #1 NAG
rankings. Paul's
swimmers have won
National, Sectional, and
Zone Championships."
Paul gained experience
coaching with National
Coach of the Year Bob
Bowman during the
2001-2002 season.
Prior to his time with
North Baltimore, Paul
coahed Verona High School
in Verona, Wisconsin to a
girl's state championship
(1998), a boy's state
championship (2000), and a
40-0 dual meet record from
1998-2000. Paul also
served as a Senior and Age
Group coach for the Badger
Aquatics Club in Madison,
Wisconsin. More
recently, Paul was the
head coach of the Bel Air
Aquatic Club, where his
team set 65 new team
records in the 2000-2001
short course season.
Paul graduated from the
University of Wisconsin --
Madison with a degree in
English.

Bob Bowman - Lead Coach
Bob Bowman joined the NBAC staff in 1996 and has assisted in many phases of the club's development. Bob previously served as the Head Coach of Californias Napa Valley Swim Team where he coached 1996 Olympian Eric Wunderlich and World University Games Champion Ian Mull. He has also been the Head Coach of the Birmingham Swim League, Senior Assistant Coach of the Las Vegas Gold Swim Team and Head Age Group Coach of the Cincinnati Pepsi Marlins. Coach Bowman is an ASCA Certified Level 5 Coach. He has gained experience as an assistant to four Olympic Coaches.
At NBAC, Bob has coached Michael Phelps to a berth on the US Olympic Team in 2000., where he placed fifth in 200 Butterfly. When Michael broke the World Record in 200 Butterfly in the spring of 2001, Bob was named assistant US National Team Coach for the 2001 FINA World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. Michael broke his own world record at that meet.
In 2002, Phelps broke the world record in the 400 IM and the 400 Medley relay as well as American records in the 100 fly, 200 IM and 800 Free Relay. The NBAC placed 6th at the Summer Nationals and Bowman was named to the staff of the USA Pan Pacific Championship team. In both 2001(Meghan Sackett) and 2002(Jamie Barone), NBAC produced the Rookie of the Meet at the Summer Nationals. NBAC won the 2002 Spring Eastern Zone Sectional Womens and Combined Championships. Bob has coached swimmers to hundreds of National Age Group rankings including over 60 #1 rankings. His swimmers have set 54 National Age Group Records.
In 2001 Bob was named both USA Swimming Coach of the Year and the American Swimming Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Phelps was named USA Swimming Athlete of the Year and his 200 fly world record was recognized as Performance of the Year. Bowman was named the 2002 USA Swimming Developmental Coach of the Year.
In addition to his coaching duties, Bob also runs Bowman Thoroughbreds LLC, a thoroughbred racehorse racing, breeding and sales company.

Tom
Yetter -
Age Group Coach
Tom
is starting his third
year with North
Baltimore. His swimmers
have achieved 18 Top-16
Rankings, 7 Maryland
State Records by 5
different swimmers, and
16 NBAC Team Records.
Tom has had 7 State
Champions in 26 events
and 19 different
swimmers qualify for
Maryland Zone Teams.
He has coached swimmers
to 57 individual Top-16
Reportable times and has
also had 11 different
swimmers be a part of 43
Top-16 Reportable
relays. Tom has also
coached swimmers to Zone
meet records and the USA
Top 100 times list.
Tom has previously
coached at BAY Aquatics,
Waugh Chapel Swim Club
in the summer and he was
the Head Coach of the
Severn Park Stingrays
for two seasons. While
at the Stingrays, Tom
led the team to break
over 125 Team Records in
just two short course
seasons.
Tom has attended
UMBC and is currently
working towards a degree
in Exercise Science from
Towson University.

Dan
Dougher - Age Group Coach
Dan
joined the NBAC staff
this past summer ('02).
He graduated from the
College of New Jersey
with a double major in
Elementary Education and
Psychology. While at
school, Dan obtained
academic and athletic
All-American Status.
Prior to moving, he
taught second grade and
coached at Berkeley
Aquatic Club, where 2000
Olympian Scott Goldblatt
swam. Dan had both swam
for and coached for
Olympic International
Organization chairman
Jim Wood.

Scott
Armstrong - Assistant
Senior Level Coach
Scott
Graduated from Johns
Hopkins Univisity in
2003 with a degree in
Political Science. He
was named Hopkins swim
team captain for the
2002-2003 season and is
17 time NCAA All
American as well as the
1650 national record
holder for Division
III. He lead the
team to two consecutive
2nd place finishes at
Division III National
championships.
Scott holds over 20 YMCA
All American honors
including 1999 500
freestyle national
champion. He swam for
Sumerset Hills YMCA in
Basking Ridge NJ and
still holds over 6 team
records.
He worked as Head Coach
of the Pleasant Valley
swim team for the
summers of 1997 and
1998, 14 and 2 record
and second place at the
league championships
both years.
Scott was hired as a
part time assistant age
group coach at NBAC in
the fall of 2002 after a
successful summer
competing for NBAC at
Summer Nationals. Once
finished with
competitive swimming, he
was hired as a full time
assistant to Bob Bowman.
Scott was also hired as
a part time assistant
and lead sprint coach at
Johns Hopkins fall
of 2003.

John Cadigan - Assistant Coach, Masters Coach
John began working with Murray Stephens and the Loyola Blakefield swim team in 1980, while in school at Loyola. He assisted Murray with the Loyola team and the NBAC Senior level group until 1984. He graduated from Loyola College with a B.A. in English Literature in 1986. John coached summer league at Roland Run Swim Club for five years from 1983-1987 and was the head coach of the Varsity and Junior Varsity at Archbishop Curley High School from 1986-1990, winning two league championships and one meet championship. In 1990, John returned to NBAC as Senior Assistant Coach and was Loyolas JV coach for four years. Currently, John coaches the NBAC Masters team while serving as general manager at Meadowbrook. John writes and publishes the NBAC Splash, the team newsletter. John was married in 1989, and he and his wife Connie have five children.
